My First C-Section photoshoot

I arrived at Ascension St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point at 6:45 am, the staff was incredible, guiding Alexis’s husband Brewster and myself the timeline and what we needed to wear in the surgery room. I definitely was more nervous than Alexis, this was my first time documenting a C-Section and any birth photos. Alexis + Brewster’s beautiful baby girl, Aubrey arrived at 7:40 am weighing at 6 lbs and 13 oz, it was such an honor and breathtaking moment to be present and capture her first breath.

I am so grateful and I can’t wait to photograph more milestones for them in the future!

Motherhood is...

Sliding into motherhood is…exhausting but beautiful. Overcoming new challenges that tests patience, it’s not easy but it is a blessing. Being a mom myself, it’s an emotional roller coaster as a new mother and it’s one of the reasons why I love photographing lifestyle sessions after labor. I get to capture such timeless and powerful images and that is empowering. These are moments I’ve documented from Miranda + Jake’s session (after labor and in home session):

Amy + Meng | Engagement Session at Monk Botanical Gardens in WAUSAU, WI

Well surprise surprise…we got a huge snow storm in April but then I met Amy + Meng at The Monk Botanical Gardens and it was a beautiful day! Although we had to walk through wet, mushy snow and our shoes being completely soaked —I got to capture these portraits of this adorable couple.

My biggest goal when doing engagement photography is to capture natural reactions of people interacting and Amy + Meng did such a wonderful job! The Monk Botanical Gardens in Wausau is so pretty all year round and has developed so much over the years, being one of my favorite locations to shoot. These photos turned out beautifully and capturing these precious moments for Amy + Meng as their engagement photographer is such an honor!

Are you recently engaged? I’d love to chat with you about your photography needs!

Mommy & Me Sessions

Mother’s Day is coming up…and I want to share why I feel it’s so important to capture these types of memories every year. It’s crucial to have portraits with your mom every year as we all age, it’s a beautiful thing to have and I want to capture them for you. Some people prefer to post picture perfect moments, while I am here to capture not perfect portraits, but photos that are meaningful and bring out personalities as well as real emotions.

I had the opportunity to do a fun lifestyle shoot in Pang’s home with her kiddos! Aren’t they the cutest? They were very energetic and loves the camera…working with kids are hard because they tend to lose interest quickly, so with my experience of having my own child and working with many families on location doing shoots —I was able to capture these beautiful shots of Pang and her children.

Are you in need of updated portraits? I would love to hear from you :)
